A tab with an advert may open when you tap download. Close it and come back here to carry on — those clicks are what keep PlayMods free.

Before you install

  1. When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
  2. An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.

Download FAQs

What does the Premium Unlocked build change in Translate On Screen?

This build is labeled Premium Unlocked. The label identifies the modification for this version. Translate On Screen still includes its listed on-screen translation, OCR, floating translation, copy, and sharing tools.

Can Translate On Screen translate text from other apps and websites?

Yes. On-Screen Translation is designed to translate text visible in any app, game, or website. It is intended to let you read that information without switching between platforms.

What can the OCR Scanner recognize?

The OCR Scanner recognizes important information in images. You can check an image for text or collect text from outside material through the camera. The resulting translated text can then be copied or shared.

What is Manga Mode used for?

Manga Mode was added in version 1.186. The same release also added floating icon edge docking and background-free text in Auto Region Mode. These options affect how the floating translator can be displayed while translating content.

What Android version does Translate On Screen require?

Translate On Screen requires Android 7.0 or later. The listed file size is 42.1 MB. Android may ask you to allow installs from the source you choose when installing an app outside Google Play.

Nothing happens when I tap download

Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.

Android says "App not installed"

Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
